Daniel Klein I first saw Rachel tear it up at the Front Room at Ohio University and am glad to see her still doing her thing. The perfect combo of stripped down melodies and effortlessly soulful vocals lend to a hauntingly beautiful listening experience. Favorite track: Sharp.

some love from the pavement the traffic, the people who walk by armed with hands to hold let's put this back outside for everyone's kids to remember pay on the way out hey here's some extra thought i'd tell you, it's free on some days and today is your lucky day there's still some room in the backseat don't sweat it, i don't mind now we're even now we're even brighter than we'd be in separate cars separate cars there's no need to rush now what you've got here is a captive audience i'd say your money's no good there's still some room in the backseat don't sweat it, i don't mind now we're even now we're even brighter than we'd be in separate cars separate cars

just listen stack 'em up, stack 'em up so we can't hold this against you along with everything you said that you'd never do just seconds from the first of many hellos we'll watch you read by only the shade of the trees one street away we've yet to cross our paths one vote to stay clear of the press who's going to take the sleeping for a walk keep saving face for all the rainy days for all, for all the rainy days blow your air out how familiar, how familiar this feels you've shot up, shot up so fast and we can expect this to blow over us to get older in no time at all no time at all one street away we've yet to cross our paths one vote to stay clear of the press who's going to take the sleeping for a walk keep saving face for all the rainy days for all, for all the rainy days

no wheels left it's looking permanent, permanent now high bridges and low standards moving fast as modern legs allow stay up late in other people's houses make some plans and blame it on our vices settled on an answer i can fight this lights for some to see spending days around one time around one short trip back in time in time to stay up late in other people's houses make some plans and blame it on our vices settled on an answer i can fight this feels like rain and some hard truth so, don't-don't-don't kill the one holding the envelope in her steady hands stay up late in other people's houses make some plans and blame it on our vices settled on an answer i will fight this

her shoulders are the smoothest part of her demeanor recorded as a friend, as an ally history will reflect part of the package is a steady dose of modesty and charming stories she shakes everyone's hand at least one time a clumsy way to make up for lost time hold still for just a minute longer, minute longer "my fault", she said just say the word and she'll make you up just wave your hand she'll help you change add whatever you need give you what you're missing who said it, we can't hear you in the back who said it, we can't hear you in the back who said it, we can't hear you in the back executed with such great manners and made to feel like new under harsh review, she's had a while to think it through this weighs a lot, so please keep in mind she's paved the way back you've got a lot to say and to look at still favored in the everyday dealings of words and their meanings who said it, we can't hear you in the back who said it, we can't hear you in the back who said it, we can't hear you in the back executed with such great manners and made to feel like new under harsh review- she's had a while to think it through executed with such great manners and made to feel like new under harsh review- she's had a while to think it through

let's raise our hats out of respect for the lost times we all mourn these moods can be brief- can't be certain you stop over unannounced, unannounced and several years of untold stories come right out it's just like it was someday i'll make you brave somewhere along the line this will serve you well serve you right stay close, the ceiling is falling from all of this water that's been hiding from the ground it's not too late for your peace for your peace

Lady Low 03:11
certain from the start that's the secret everyone knows this- knows that not a loss to be had in here it's only gold rarely denied- it's too dark, too dark to tell and we all can find a seat, but only just because she makes us, makes us want to stay so much for clearing our heads last call for a change, change of venue new eyes from floor to ceiling so much for clearing our heads last call for a change, change of venue new eyes from floor to ceiling home's calling her back to me this time out with it quick despite what you may have heard she can sing so, so low and we all can find a seat, but only just because she makes us, makes us want to stay so much for clearing our heads last call for a change, change of venue new eyes from floor to ceiling so much for clearing our heads last call for a change, change, change of venue new eyes from floor to ceiling

you look well, considering not much of a compliment i'm just a little rusty send me up something nice something that might make me want to get up early oh the things i'd say to you oh the things i'd say to you long good-byes are rarely in short supply hold your head up hold your hopes up hold your chin up so there's room to grow oh the things i'd say to you oh the things i'd say to you warm hands on my cold hands hanging your head from your shoulder bones i'll match your height on tipped toes decent heart- call it time to stop i'm scarcely moving you're picking up the slack one favor left to call in for good call in for good oh the things i'd say to you oh the things i'd say to you warm hands on my cold hands hanging your head from your shoulder bones i'll match your height on tipped toes decent heart- call it time to stop decent heart- call it time to stop oh the things i'd say to you oh the things i'd say to you

Sharp 03:36
new threads bright with your luck bet it feels good bet it feels good stick to your side better not look better not look some time from now the chance will show itself to say what you want- so say what you will it won't help quiet, yet ever-present is the voice that asks after trust that this meeting had meeting here's to you- i'm as sharp as they come cheers to you- i'm as sharp as they come clearly you've found more than one deserving your best observing your worst build your life on fiction written for those with a taste for the finer things some time from now the chance will show itself to say what you want- so say what you will you can't help quiet, yet ever-present is the voice that asks after trust that this meeting has meaning quiet- yet ever-present is the voice that asks after trust that this meeting had meaning here's to you- i'm as sharp as they come cheers to you- i'm as sharp as they come

about

Rachel Mousie Cincinnati, Ohio

I like to sing and write songs. I play the keys and use a looping station to create live harmonies and hand percussion rhythms. Sometimes when I'm practicing my cat sits on my lap and gives me feedback in the form of cat sounds. Once I find a way to incorporate that I'll have it all figured out.

I aim to make you feel something, whatever that may be. I hope I am successful :)
